Walkie Operator / Order Picker (Temp-to-Perm)

Fuze HR Solutions is currently hiring a Walkie Operator / Order Picker for a well-established global organization specializing in automotive components and parts distribution. This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity with strong potential for long-term employment and skills development.

Position Overview
The successful candidate will begin on the warehouse floor performing manual order picking using push carts and pump trucks. Once familiar with processes and parts, training on electric walkie equipment will be provided. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on experience and advance within a structured warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately pick automotive parts using an RF scanner

Perform manual order picking using push carts or pump trucks during initial training period

Transition to operating an Electric Walkie Rider once trained

Package and label orders correctly

Maintain a smooth workflow by collaborating with team members

Safely operate manual material handling equipment

Learn and navigate warehouse picking locations and inventory

Follow all safety standards and company policies at all times
Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)

Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen status only (no exceptions due to client policy for future full-time conversion)

Valid and recent Walkie License (minimum 1 year)

Ability to complete a background check prior to onboarding

Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required

Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends when needed

Steel-toed safety shoes required

No student status
Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Prior experience in order picking, general labour, or warehouse operations

Valid certifications for Reach, Order Picker, or Walkie (experience on forklift not required initially)

Strong attention to detail

Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn

Schedule & Pay

Monday to Friday | 8:20 AM – 5:00 PM

Overtime available and required during peak periods

$19.00/hour
