Your tasks as the Finance Controller:
•Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account Information and trends
• Oversee the Accounting Department
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling, analyzing, and documenting account and transaction information.
• Prepares balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and commentary.
• Preparing annual budget, assessing financial performance, and comparing variances between actual financial performances and the budget
• Support the design and creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, KPI tools and dashboards.
• Prepare government remittances, accounting audit & tax work papers.
• Train, coach and support the accounts payable and account receivable team.
• Verifying vendors payments by and documenting weekly cash disbursements
• Reconcile vendor accounts and proactively resolve invoice and payment issues
• Prepare manufacturing costing models.
• Validating inventory listing and valuation monthly
• Reviewing and approving payroll and subcontracted labor payments and processes
• Other tasks and ad hoc duties as required.
The required qualifications of the Finance Controller:
· University degree, CPA preferred
· 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management within the manufacturing industry.
· Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
· Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Experience in food industry an asset.
·In office 5 days a week.
·Able to multi-task and manage a tight timeline in a dynamic and high-volume exciting environment and work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment
