Salary: $34–$41/hour
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with on-call rotation 1 in 4 weekends (with bonus & pay)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to maintain, repair, and service waste handling equipment for commercial, industrial, and food processing clients. Most days start at our Etobicoke shop and include both in-shop and on-site work across Southern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems on compactors, balers, augers, and other waste handling equipment

Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation

Install and remove complete waste compactor systems as required

Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory to ensure readiness for each assignment

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment

Deliver high-quality repairs to achieve “first-time fix” on service calls

Read and interpret electrical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals
-
Apply rigging and lifting knowledge when handling heavy equipment
Qualifications:
-
Journeyman trade certification (433A, 421A, 310T) is an asset
-
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
-
Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract
-
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Self-motivated, accountable, and customer-focused
