Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced, driven, and dedicated Engineering Division Leader (Municipal) to join a highly successful multi-disciplinary engineering group based in the Barrie region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a leadership role with a strong focus on business development, project management, and team leadership.
The successful candidate will be a progressive, collaborative and energetic professional engineer with at least 8 years of consulting experience, with a strong engineering leadership background in municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue project opportunities in both existing and emerging markets
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate new business
  • Lead proposal development, including work plans, budgets, and schedules
Project Management
  • Manage multiple municipal infrastructure projects from inception to completion
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
Team Leadership
  • Mentor, develop and lead a team of Project Managers and technical support staff
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Support career development and technical growth within the group
Key Position Requirements
  • P.Eng. in the province of Ontario, registered with PEO
  • Minimum of 8-15 years of engineering experience within the consulting engineering sector with a focus on municipal / civil engineering projects such as: Watermains, Pumping Stations, Sewers, Roads etc
  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Technical leader in relevant sector
  • Demonstrated abilities as a team leader, responsible for managing a team of support staff
  • Undertake business development with a desire to do more
  • Understanding of business metrics and company policies and can work with staff to achieve desired outcomes
  • Demonstrated high level of commitment
  • Strong, relevant design and project management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate design and analysis software
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
