About the Role: Dispatch & Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a Dispatch & Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day logistics at the organization’s Etobicoke warehouse. Reporting to the Lead Dispatcher, this position will help coordinate a fleet of over 20 drivers and 18 vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient food recovery and redistribution.
This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented and proactive logistics professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and is passionate about creating operational impact.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and monitor 60+ weekly food recovery and distribution routes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing real-time updates and route adjustments.
  • Track fleet movements and proactively resolve any delivery or timing issues.
  • Use GPS tracking tools and routing software to analyze and optimize routes.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, route logs, and delivery confirmations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, donor relations, and nonprofit engagement teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Follow and enforce operational procedures related to food recovery, logistics, and distribution.
About You:
  • Experience: 1–3 years in dispatch, logistics, or fleet coordination, preferably within the GTA.
  • Detail-Oriented: You can juggle multiple moving parts with ease and accuracy.
  • Customer-Focused: You care about reliable service and efficient communication.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with GPS tracking software, dispatch systems, and Excel (intermediate to advanced).
  • Collaborative: Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive team approach.
