Director Of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing business in Brampton, ON. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, combined with a CPA or CA designation. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive financial excellence in a dynamic environment.

Your tasks as the Director of Finance:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
   • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
   • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team for long-term financial planning and growth.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis:
   • Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
   • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
3. Accounting & Compliance:
   • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
   • Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
   • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
4. Operational Finance Management:
   • Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
   • Manage cash flow, working capital, and debt to optimize financial health.
   • Collaborate with other departments to align financial processes with operational goals.
5. Leadership & Decision Support:
   • Act as a key advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on financial matters.
   • Participate in strategic initiatives, including M&A activities, capital investment projects, and market expansion.
   • Build relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
   • Other duties as assigned

The required qualifications of the Director of Finance:

· CPA or CA designation (mandatory).

· 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial management within the manufacturing industry.

· Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting.

· Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear solutions.

· Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

· Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

· Experience in food industry an asset.

· Able to multi-task and manage a tight timeline in a dynamic and high-volume exciting environment and work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment

· Available to work in the office Monday – Friday
