About the Role:
We are looking for experienced and certified Crown Reverse Reach & Electric Counterbalance Forklift Operators to work in a busy shipping/receiving department. This role involves moving packaged products, loading/unloading trailers, staging ingredients for production, and occasional use of equipment such as the apple peeler (training provided).
Work is performed in cooler (+5°C) and freezer (-20°C) environments, but operators will be moving in and out during the shift — they will not be stationed in the freezer for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Crown Reverse Reach and Electric Counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Move packaged materials from production to designated storage areas.
- Load/unload trailers according to MOL, GMP, HACCP, and CTPAT standards.
- Inspect pallets for damage and ensure proper labeling.
- Use WMS for accurate documentation of inventory movement.
- Stage ingredients and packaging materials to keep production running smoothly.
- Assist production staff when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification for both Crown Reverse Reach & Electric Counterbalance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating both machines.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs (most lifting done with forklifts).
- Ability to work in cold environments (gear provided: freezer jacket, gloves, sweater).
- Steel-toe safety shoes required (recommend hooded sweater or toque for extra warmth).
- Clear background check (internal requirement only).
