We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Certified CNC Machinist to join our client's dynamic team in Surrey, BC.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

You will be reporting to the Manufacturing Shop Manager

Compensation/Perks
  • $47.53 per hour for a Red Seal – $37-42 per hour for a non-ticketed candidate
  • Wages going up on April 1, 2026 by 3%

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, milling machines, and other machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Perform machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and finishing tasks.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Proficient in machining techniques including CNC operation and manual machining.
  • Grade 12 education or GED with strong basic math skills
  • successful completion of Interprovincial Red Seal Certification or equivalent
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, TOSNUC and Okuma controls is an asset.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity in operating Overhead/Jib Cranes
