CNC Operator – Afternoon Shift
📍 Oakville, ON
đŸ’Č $27/hour
🕒 Afternoons: 2:00pm – 12:00am, Monday to Thursday (Training on Day Shift)

We’re looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment in Oakville. Our team produces high-quality metal components and subassemblies across multiple departments, including metal cutting, forming, machining, welding, assembly, and paint.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Setting up and operating HAAS 1600 CNC Horizontal Milling machines
  • Setting up tooling according to work instructions
  • Working with CNC programs and G/M codes
  • Using precise measuring equipment to maintain tight tolerances (within .001”)
  • Reading and interpreting work orders, work instructions, and technical drawings
  • Working with heavy gauge steel and large parts (Âœ inch and above)
  • Performing daily maintenance checks on machines and lifting devices
  • Operating in a fast-paced environment and managing more than one machine when needed
  • Following all health & safety standards and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
What You’ll Bring
  • College or technical trade school graduate preferred
  • 2–3+ years’ experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines (company willing to train strong candidates)
  • Good math and mechanical drawing skills
  • Experience with forklifts, jib/overhead cranes an asset
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying 5–23 kg regularly
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
