Project/Program Overview
A global life sciences organization is scaling a Change Experience & Learning (CE&L) function within its Informatics group to drive the people-side of technology transformation. The mandate: deliver holistic change experiences so workforce adoption matches the pace of platform and product rollout.
Role Summary
Own the end-to-end communication and change experience for complex, IT-driven initiatives. Translate technical roadmaps into clear, actionable narratives and learning touchpoints. Orchestrate channel strategy, content, timing, and measurement to accelerate adoption and compliance across diverse stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities
- Communication strategy & execution: Build and run end-to-end communication strategies that enable adoption of IT changes; select optimal channels and media; manage editorial calendars; deliver assets on time.
- Campaign innovation: Simplify complex topics; design creative campaigns that improve comprehension and engagement; streamline comms processes.
- Stakeholder partnering: Co-create function-specific strategies with senior business and IT stakeholders; align communications with portfolio and annual plans.
- Measurement: Define and track engagement metrics; use analytics to iterate channel mix, cadence, and messaging.
- OCM support: Support organizational change management for platform strategy implementations; advise on deployment timing relative to business cycles and competing communications.
- Cross-functional ways of working: Partner with UX, Partnering, and Engagement teams to deliver integrated change experiences; share knowledge across sections/clusters.
- Governance & delivery: Fulfill workforce communication strategy; oversee plan execution across channels and contributors.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years in communications or organizational change management within technology-led environments.
- Proven stakeholder engagement with senior business and IT leaders; strong consulting orientation.
- End-to-end OCM strategy creation and execution, including communication planning and enablement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical content for non-technical audiences.
- Strong project/program management; ability to prioritize and multitask in shifting contexts; proactive issue/risk management.
- Technical aptitude to understand emerging technologies and translate jargon into clear, outcome-oriented messaging.
- Working knowledge of instructional design methodologies and Agile delivery practices.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Marketing experience (campaign design, audience segmentation, message testing).
- Program-level OCM experience across multi-team portfolios.
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education/experience.
Contract & Hours
- Employment type: Contract (initial 12 months) with potential extension; full-time (40 hrs/week).
- Hybrid or remote options based on project needs; minimal travel as required.
