Salary $60,000-$65,000 based on experience , plus bonus

We are seeking an Accountant to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization, with primary responsibility for Tax and Treasury accounting functions. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled finance professional to contribute significantly to the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in Accounting, Tax, and Cash Management. Success in this role will require a self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Record monthly journal entries and accruals
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, issuing journal entries to the correct accounts
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Operations to gather supporting documentation for journal entries
• Respond to inquiries from Branch and Regional Office personnel
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and explanations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting
• Strong PC skills (MS Excel, Oracle, Blackline) and ideally SmartView
• A continuous improvement mindset and excellent organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is advantageous
• Exposure to SOX/US GAAP is an asset
• Enrollment in the CPA program is an asset
• Fluency in French is an asset
