Our client is for the transportation of high-value products which require product inspection and on-site installation, our client services throughout Canada with clients in the Financial, Technology, Retail and Healthcare sectors.
Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday and Overtime on Weekends as needed
Experience:5 ton driving: 2 years (required)
Work Location: On the road/warehouse as required *Darthmouth, NS*
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform unpacking, assembly/disassembly, installation/removal and delivery of high value equipment.
- Interact directly with customers and provide functional demo of equipment.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Provide consistent on-time pickup and delivery service performance
- Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service through interactions with customers
- Work in a safe manner and adhere to safe working procedures.
- Maintain an organized and clean environmentPerform other general duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications Include:
- Valid Class 5 driver license
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience requiredMust have experience driving a 5-ton truck
- Clean Drivers Abstract and able to complete a Criminal Record Background Check
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or have Canadian Permanent Residency
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as hours of work will vary depending on volume and some weekend work may be required.
- Previous experience with handling high end commercial electronics i.e. Printers, photo copiers, bank machines, is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. as needed
- Comfortable using hand tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, power drills etc.
- Positive attitude, flexible and adaptable, high energy, and self-motivated
- Highly customer focused with the ability to exceed expectations
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Must have strong navigational skills & excellent knowledge of local streets and highway system for Nova ScotiaTeam player with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
