The Opportunity
A precision manufacturing company is seeking a Licensed General Machinist to join their team producing high-precision components used in industries such as aerospace, medical devices, defense, energy, and advanced technology.

This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on machining, working from detailed drawings, and producing precision parts using both conventional and CNC equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining documentation
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools
  • Machine precision plastic and metal components
  • Perform drilling, tapping, threading, milling, turning, and finishing operations
  • Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds
  • Design and build jigs, fixtures, and holding devices
  • Verify materials and ensure parts meet drawing specifications
  • Perform precision measurements and inspections
  • Maintain safe machining practices and assist with basic machine maintenance

What We're Looking For
  • Licensed General Machinist (Trade Certified)
  • Minimum 5 years machining experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining precision plastic and metal parts
  • Ability to select appropriate tooling, feeds, and machining strategies
  • Experience with precision measuring and inspection tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Industry Experience Considered an Asset
  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • Defense manufacturing

  • Other high-precision machining environments
