The Opportunity
A precision manufacturing company is seeking a Licensed General Machinist to join their team producing high-precision components used in industries such as aerospace, medical devices, defense, energy, and advanced technology.
This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on machining, working from detailed drawings, and producing precision parts using both conventional and CNC equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining documentation

Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools

Machine precision plastic and metal components
-
Perform drilling, tapping, threading, milling, turning, and finishing operations

Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds
-
Design and build jigs, fixtures, and holding devices
-
Verify materials and ensure parts meet drawing specifications
-
Perform precision measurements and inspections
-
Maintain safe machining practices and assist with basic machine maintenance

What We're Looking For

Licensed General Machinist (Trade Certified)

Minimum 5 years machining experience

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience machining precision plastic and metal parts

Ability to select appropriate tooling, feeds, and machining strategies

Experience with precision measuring and inspection tools

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Industry Experience Considered an Asset
