We are searching for an experienced Service Technologist to join our client's team. They are a reputable Information and Communications Technology company located in Burnaby, BC. Your tasks as the Service Technologist:
• Perform triage and troubleshooting of returned products
• Conduct repairs and upgrades on returned products
• Perform required visual reviews and verification tests on all repaired products prior to return to the end customer
• Maintain and repair test jigs used in Quality and Service activities
• Enter data related to troubleshooting, repairs, and test results of products in service
• Perform and assist with failure investigations and testing in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering teams
• Assist other team members as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Service Technologist or Electronic Technologist or in a similar role
• Solid foundation in electronics and troubleshooting methodologies, including the use of various test instruments
• Familiarity with documentation and revision control methods
• Understanding of analog and digital electronics
• Soldering experience is a must; Proficient in high-quality surface-mount and through-hole soldering
• Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
