Maintenance Electrician | Night Shift | Waterloo, Ontario | Full-Time | Permanent
A skilled Maintenance Electrician is required to support a well-structured and efficient advanced manufacturing operation in Waterloo. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining safe equipment performance, high production reliability, and continuous improvement within a clean and well-organized facility. This position requires long-term commitment to night shift operations.
Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly rate: $44 + shift premium

Overtime after 40 hours; approximately one Saturday every six weeks

Shift Information:

Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sunday to Thursday)

Primary Responsibilities:
-
Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance activities
-
Troubleshoot equipment operating at 480–600V
-
Work with PLC-based systems (Siemens or Allen-Bradley; basic programming considered an asset)

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation

Support automation projects and reliability improvements

Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies
-
Operate material-handling equipment, including tow motors and overhead cranes, as required
Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid 309A or 442A Certificate of Qualification (mandatory)

Minimum 1–2+ years industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience

Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warm and moderately noisy environment

Proficiency with both metric and imperial measurement tools
