As their business continues to grow, we’re hiring a Lead Service & Installation Technician — a skilled professional ready to take charge of projects, mentor field technicians, and ensure top-quality workmanship on every job.

Hourly rate: $35.81 + $2.00 lead hand premium = $37.81/hr ($44/hr total package).

  • Vacation paid weekly with their pay (4–6%) – So if they take vacation, it is unpaid as it’s already been paid to them on their weekly pay.
  • Opportunity to get welding certification (on personal time) for an extra $1/hr.

Standard hours: Mon–Thurs 7am–4pm, Fri 7am–3pm (44 hours/week + OT after 44 hours).
What You’ll Do: Lead Service & Installation Technician
As a Lead Technician, you’ll oversee and participate in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial door and dock systems while coordinating field teams and ensuring project safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead installation and service of sectional doors, rolling doors, dock levelers, fire doors (including drop testing), impact doors, and vehicle restraints.
  • Supervise and mentor technicians and helpers in the field.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Maintain inventory, truck stock, and ensure proper use of company tools/vehicles.
  • Complete accurate job reports, time tracking, and service documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Enforce safety standards and promote continuous improvement.
  • Support training and certification initiatives for the service team.

This role includes a mix of local and out-of-town projects (Northern or remote areas), with all travel expenses, LOA, and hotel accommodations covered.
You’ll also receive overtime opportunities and a $2.00/hr premium during remote assignments.

What You Bring: Lead Service & Installation Technician
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing industrial door and dock systems (rolling, sectional, or high-speed).
  • Leadership or mentorship experience in a service or field environment.
  • Welding and/or electrical experience is a strong asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; must be open to travel.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; background check required.
