Design Engineer – Civil Division – London

This firm is a multidisciplinary, employee-owned engineering company with several offices across Ontario. Since its founding in the mid-1980s, it has been providing services such as civil and structural engineering, building and environmental science, geotechnical engineering, and land surveying. Responsibilities
- Analyze background project information using engineering knowledge and critical thinking.
- Design stormwater, sanitary and water systems, roads, and other civil infrastructure; collaborate with CAD staff on drawings.
- Prepare technical reports and perform design calculations per applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and consultants to ensure project goals are met.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to efficient project delivery.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset).
- 4–10+ years of experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
