Job Description: Senior Tax Manager (Partner Track) Real 37.5 hours per week

We are a well-established, mid-sized accounting firm providing a full range of taxation, assurance, and advisory services to a diverse client base. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team. Position Overview
The Senior Tax Manager will lead complex tax engagements, review tax filings, advise clients on advanced tax planning opportunities, and supervise a team of professionals. In addition to technical oversight, this role involves significant leadership, client management, and business development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and review personal and corporate tax compliance (T1, T2) and planning engagements.
  2. Provide advanced tax advisory services, including corporate reorganizations, succession planning, and compliance with ASPE or IFRS.
  3. Act as the primary contact for clients, building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality strategic advice.
  4. Lead, mentor, and supervise junior and intermediate tax staff to develop their technical and professional skills.
  5. Ensure compliance with Canadian tax legislation, and stay current on evolving regulations and best practices.
  6. Collaborate with other managers and partners to improve internal processes and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
  7. Leverage professional judgment to manage complex client matters and provide innovative tax strategies.
  8. Contribute to business development through networking, proposals, and identifying new service opportunities.
  9. Participate in firm operations and strategy discussions, supporting technology adoption, recruitment, and service innovation.
Required Qualifications
  1. CPA designation
  2. 3 to 5 years of post-CPA experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation.
  3. 1 to 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
  4. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  5. Experience reviewing personal and corporate tax returns (T1 and T2).
  6. Working knowledge of ASPE regulations (or IFRS).
  7. In-Depth Tax Program completed or in progress is preferred.
  8. Proficiency with TaxPrep and CaseWare software.
