Material Handler
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious team member to support our warehouse and production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling of raw materials, operation of material handling equipment, and contributing to the overall workflow and safety standards of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate forklifts (primarily Raymond Reach trucks) to deliver raw materials to the production floor based on the daily schedule.
  • Accurately pick and stage raw materials for production setup in a timely manner.
  • Maintain smooth and timely material flow throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Prepare materials and goods for handling, processing, or shipping.
  • Operate towers and assist with tower-related processes.
  • Disassemble, clean, and prepare spare diaphragm pumps; maintain ready-to-use spares for tower operations.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials.
  • Process and fulfill shipments in the correct sequence.
  • Pick and pack orders ensuring they are secure and presentable.
  • Input and update inventory data using stock management software and ERP systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system entries related to inventory.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute actively to enhancing safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Comply with all operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Consistently wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, vest, gloves, hearing protection, hard hat).
  • Follow safety guidelines and training protocols diligently.
  • Serve as backup Tower Operator when needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Valid forklift license with hands-on experience operating Raymond Reach trucks.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment is required.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation & Work Conditions:
  • Location: Mississauga, Ontario
  • Wage: $21.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, or Night (flexibility required)
