Material Handler / Equipment Operator – Day Shift
Location: Edgeware Road, Brampton, ON
Pay Rate: $19.70/hour
Shift: Day Shift

Are you looking to join a fast-paced, clean, and safety-focused production facility in Brampton? A well-established contract packaging and manufacturing company that supports major brands in the food, beverage, and consumer goods industry is currently seeking a skilled Material Handler / Equipment Operator to join their day shift team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for moving materials efficiently throughout the production floor and warehouse using both powered and manual material handling equipment. You’ll help ensure accurate inventory tracking, support production needs, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate all equipment in a safe manner according to company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Accurately issue materials to production lines and record movements using the Pack Manager system.
  • Handle leftover materials and finished goods for proper disposition.
  • Support inventory control, including documentation and cycle counts.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving tasks and act as backup when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with housekeeping standards.
  • Report all incidents, near misses, or damages promptly.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent, related experience with a clean safety record.
  • Valid Forklift/Lift Truck Operator Certification (Raymond Reach, Counterbalance, Walkie, Turret, as applicable).
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Comfortable using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
  • Good math skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg and standing/walking for most of the shift.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
