About the Role: Door Technician

We are looking for a skilled Door Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude and welding experience to help install, repair, and maintain doors, gates, and dock systems. Approximately 20% of the work may require out-of-town travel, including underground projects. All necessary training and certifications for site work will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial doors, gate systems, and dock equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Apply welding and mechanical skills for on-site repairs and custom modifications.
  • Maintain organized inventory and company vehicle readiness.
  • Keep accurate records, including time logs and work completion details.
  • Provide professional service and support to customers, contractors, and team members.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications: Door Technician

  • 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems, doors, gates, or related equipment.
  • Welding experience (required) – professional certification is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with power tools and ability to handle physical workloads.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Adaptable to changing work environments and schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check.
