Contract: Oct 28-31st
Location: Downtown, Ottawa
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
– Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
– Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
– Assist in menu planning and development, including seasonal and special offerings.
– Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
– Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
– Handle food storage, preparation, and waste management efficiently.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
– Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
– Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
– Creative and passionate about cooking.
