We are seeking 5 Cooks for our customer located downtown Ottawa, ON for a special event that will be held October 28th to October 31st. If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply online.
Duration: 4 days (October 28th to October 31st)
Location: Downtown, Ottawa
Language: English OR French (both are not mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Assist in menu planning and development, including seasonal and special offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Handle food storage, preparation, and waste management efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Creative and passionate about cooking.
