We are seeking a dedicated Accountant with a strong focus on property management accounting and investment reporting, tailored specifically to the homebuilding industry. This role is integral to supporting multiple entities within our company, handling all financial aspects related to our residential and commercial development projects. Property Management Accounting

·Oversee the financial administration of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties, including lease management for multi-tenant buildings, rent collection, and monthly billing.

· Administer year-end reconciliations of Taxes, Maintenance, and Insurance (TMI) costs against tenant recoveries, ensuring accuracy in tenant billings and collections.

·Manage cash flow for rental properties by handling the timely distribution of cash calls and distributions between partners and maintaining optimal balances in corporate bank accounts.

·Prepare year-end working papers for external accountants, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and comprehensive for audits and tax preparation.

·Compile quarterly compliance reports for banks, addressing key financial metrics required by lending institutions.

·Provide detailed financial reports to property owners, summarizing rental income, expenses, and occupancy rates.

Investment Reporting

·Track investments across multiple homebuilding and real estate development projects, ensuring proper accounting of capital contributions and distributions.

· Monitor cash flows related to real estate investments, ensuring timely distributions to partners and accurate recording of new investments.

· Prepare comprehensive reports for owners and investors, detailing project performance, return on investment, and forecasted cash flows.

Cash Management

·Perform treasury functions for multiple entities to maintain adequate cash reserves for ongoing development projects, property management needs, and general corporate operations.

·Prepare weekly cash reports, summarizing all cash movements, balances across various corporate bank accounts, and projected cash requirements for the upcoming weeks.

·Assist in forecasting future cash needs for ongoing and future projects, including land acquisitions, development costs, and sales operations.

Project Accounting

· Assist with cost accounting for active development projects, ensuring accurate tracking of construction costs, vendor payments, and budget variance analysis.

·Collaborate with project managers and the finance team to ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting on a project-by-project basis.

·Monitor the progress of development projects from a financial perspective, ensuring all costs are captured in line with budget projections.

Other Responsibilities

· Support ad hoc financial analysis as required by senior management, focusing on cost efficiency and improving financial processes within the homebuilding division.

· Assist with monthly and year-end financial closings, ensuring all reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.
