We are currently looking for a Production Superintendent/Production Manager to work in a manufacturing plant (roof and wall) located in Delta. This is a permanent position and is a morning shift (6:30am to 3:00 pm) with great benefits and bonuses!

You will be reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will have 1 direct report and 35 indirect reports.

Your tasks as a Production Superintendent/Production Manager

• Recommend and implement improvements to meet or exceed production and service demands.

• Drive reliability and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance KPIs such as waste reduction, unplanned downtime, process capability, and schedule adherence.

• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in daily production operations.

• Use data-driven decision-making to develop and lead action plans to achieve performance metrics.

• Develop and maintain the daily/weekly production schedule.

• Ensure proper management of employee relations, following personnel policies and procedures.

• Identify training needs, update standard operating procedures, and oversee employee training, discipline, and motivation.

• Conduct regular meetings with subordinates to review issues, policy changes, and operational updates.

• Handle other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

• Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to Atlas specifications.

• Coordinate with the Corporate Technical Department and Plant Quality Control Manager to develop and implement new processes and procedures.

• Ensure final products meet quality standards.

• Communicate technical and process changes to the Plant Manager.

• Oversee trials for new products, processes, or raw materials.

• Directly manage Production Supervisors and hourly production employees.

• Set organizational objectives and priorities in alignment with plant strategy and vision.

• Develop teams to meet these objectives while delegating daily tactical tasks to Production Supervisors.

• Establish and review performance expectations to ensure goals are met.

• Fill in for the Plant Manager as needed.

• Promote and enforce safety practices among personnel.

• Address safety policy concerns and unsafe conditions promptly to prevent injury.

• Ensure overall safe operation and compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.

The required qualifications for a Production Superintendent/Production Manager

• 2+ years of experience as a Production Manager/Production Superintendent within a manufacturing environment (chemical, plastics, consumer packaging, construction)

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered e.g Mechanical/Chemical

• Must be certified in Lean Six Sigma

• Having a Professional Engineer certification is considered an asset

• OSHA compliance training is desirable

• Criminal background check is required

• Has a valid passport and can enter the United States.

• Occasional trips to corporate offices, other Atlas plants, customers, or vendors for seminars, meetings, and training
