Are you passionate about assisting others? We have a great opportunity for you! The Assistant Labour Coordinator assists in the recruiting, scheduling, booking and monitoring. This position reports to the Labour Coordinator, while responding directly as required to the labor-related needs of Account and Venue Managers, Technical Directors, and Production Coordinators.

Tasks:

  • Prepare, update, and distribute necessary labor-related documentation to the Labor Coordinator, Account Managers, Department Managers, Technical Directors and technicians
  • Co-ordinate with the Account Managers and Accounting departments with regards to crews’ travel arrangement requirements for out of town shows and tours
  • Assist the Labor Coordinator as required in the day-to-day functioning of the department
  • Book and maintain a schedule of crew interview appointments
  • Organize crewing for various events in the city and across Canada
  • Provide general support to the Event and Show Services Division
  • Maintain off-hours’ communication to assist with last-minute changes
  • Work within the requirements of the company’s health & safety program

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills (filing, maintaining databases, multi-tasking)
  • Strong telephone manner & communication skills
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, and an aptitude for learning new software
  • Grace under pressure
  • Resourceful and independent
  • Database management on Google Maps is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in live event production an asset
