We are working closely with our client who is located in British Columbia on their search for a Viticulturalist to oversee viticulture operations across the Okanagan Valley.

As a Viticulturalist, you will be responsible for:

  • Maximize viticulture efficiency for target yield
  • Provide monthly variance reports with future plans
  • Maintain detailed vineyard operation records
  • Input on BC grape supply planning
  • Manage grape acreage for various aspects
  • Control viticulture technical budget
  • Coordinate harvest with Winemaker
  • Recruit, train, and motivate vineyard labor
  • Monitor crop maturity and harvest conditions
  • Conduct production research for improvement
  • Operate machinery and train in safe operations
  • Ensure vineyard facilities and equipment maintenance
  • Lead large-scale replanting and virus management projects
  • Develop annual vineyard plans and crop estimates
  • Collaborate with Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • Participate actively in winery management
  • Collect vineyard data and produce timely reports
  • Prioritize safety procedures and support safety programs
  • Maintain positive grower relations and manage contracts
  • Monitor vineyard health for disease and stress
  • Implement irrigation, fertilizer, and chemical applications for block requirements
  • Supervise Temporary Foreign Workers


  • B.Sc. or higher in Oenology and Viticulture, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of vineyard management experience
  • Familiar with various development stages of a vineyard.
  • Capable of managing operations across a large span of acreage.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of vineyard pest and disease identification
  • Proficiency in operating vineyard tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on seasonal vineyard needs
  • Physically fit
