Test Technician

We are currently assisting one of our valued clients in their search for a Test Technician to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the testing and quality assurance of electronic assemblies.

Position: Test Technician

Location: Mississauga

Shifts: Day Shift (Monday to Friday) – 6:30 am to 3:00 pm & Afternoon Shift (Monday to Thursday) – 3:30 pm to 2:00 am

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Job Summary:

As a Test Technician, you will play a pivotal role in conducting functional tests on printed circuit board assemblies using test fixtures, test programs, and measuring equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet quality standards before reaching the market.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform functional testing of printed circuit board assemblies to validate performance.
• Set up test fixtures for accurate and efficient product testing.
• Utilize various test measuring equipment to conduct thorough assessments.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary technical education and/or 2-3 years of related technical work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing is an asset.
• Previous experience in functional testing of electronic assemblies is preferred.
• Basic inspection skills with reference to IPC standards are considered an asset.

Working Environment:

Physical Demands:

• May occasionally require extended periods of standing or walking in a production environment.
• Must have the physical ability to safely maneuver products weighing up to 25 lbs without causing harm to themselves or others.

Mental Demands:

Capable of independently accepting and completing work assignments in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
