Job Description

The Sales Executive will report into the VP of Sales and is responsible for shaping and executing against the sales strategy for our client. This offering is targeted at B2B companies and has a clear value proposition to free up working capital in A/R and reduce cost for our clients!

Your tasks as a Tech Business Development Representative :

  • Develop opportunities within target market where a strong value proposition exists in order to meet and exceed quota targets
  • Understand the buying process and decision making within each prospect. Gain access to the economic buyer and influences to establish positive relationships in order to create preferences
  • This is typically senior finance and IT leaders
  • Work with each prospect to establish a financial model to define the expected ROI when a prospect moves onto the platform
  • Establish relationships with key influences around the client base (ERP’s, integrators, IT partners etc.) to gain access to new opportunities
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create leads, quickly follow up on leads, and convert them to opportunities
  • Drive opportunities through the sales cycle and convert them into a win by creating a sense of urgency
  • Manage the rollout progress of each win in order to drive an excellent client experience that can be leveraged as a referral in the future
  • Manage all accounts, leads, and opportunities with the CRM system, Salesforce, in order to manage and predict the business, and to organize leads to drive next steps and maximize company resources
  • Provide customer presentations over the phone and in person and deliver daily demonstrations of the ARC SaaS platform virtually for prospects
  • Attend trade shows and user conferences to gain visibility and identify new prospects

Requirements for the Tech Business Development Representative :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline
  • 5-10 years experience successfully selling into B2B environments
  • Proven track record to meet and exceed sales targets
  • An understanding of accounting systems, drivers of cost, ROI calculations, business acumen is very helpful
  • Experience selling to financial professionals (CFO, Controller, VP Finance, Treasurer, etc.), as well as IT leaders
  • Experience selling software, preferably SaaS
  • Experience with the concepts of the Challenger Sales Model to bring immediate value to each customer interaction
  • Experience with CRM tools – familiarity with Salesforce a benefit
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
