Job Description

The role is to support all aspects of accounting management:

– Billing – Reporting Reconciliations – Budgets – Audits – Month End Closing – Year End Closing

– Government Remittances – HST, Corporate Tax, Source Deductions, EHT, etc.

– Preparation of Financial Statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements

– Manage journal entries and invoices

– Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies of imbalances


– Must have construction experience

– Proven experience as a Controller

– Solid knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations

– Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes

– Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel

– Experience in Quickbooks Premier accounting system

– Working knowledge of construction

– Experience with full cycle accounting

– Accounts Receivable – billing, invoicing and collecting

– Well organized and ability to prioritize

– Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

– Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
