Job Duties:

  • High volume recruiting for transportation roles.
  • Source, recruit, screen, and interview (phone and in-person) experienced driver candidates via cold calling, e-mail, computer databases, and Internet recruiting resources
  • Negotiate pay packages for drivers
  • Supporting recruitment initiatives to create a pool of qualified candidates for a particular position in high volume.
  • Post job ads to the company website as well as external postings on various websites to attract candidates.
  • Pre-screen potential candidates, interview candidates, and complete onboarding.
  • Liaison with candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping candidates engaged and informed of the process.
  • Assist qualified candidates in completing their employment applications, and ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted by the candidate.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, orientations, coordinate drug tests for drivers, and provide the mandatory training as required.

Requirements

  • 1 – 2-year experience in working in Customer Service, Admin, HR or Safety Department
  • Must be comfortable hiring for transportation related roles.
  • Previous experience hiring local, cross border drivers is an asset
  • Previous experience in driver training, recruitment, and safety & compliance is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
