The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develop diverse mechanical or electrical initiatives across a spectrum of intricacies and scales.
  • Guide inexperienced team members in conceptualizing and executing design approaches.
  • Generate project records encompassing blueprints and detailed specifications.
  • Perform on-site inspections and manage construction processes (such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to requests for information, handling change orders, processing monthly payments, etc.).
  • Develop project proposals, negotiating terms with clients to meet their needs.
  • Formulate project teams with department managers to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, communicating regularly with the team and clients, and updating stakeholders.
  • Attend or delegate client meetings, documenting discussions, and ensuring client needs are met.
  • Review design drawings for quality control and address additional scope with clients.
  • Manage sub-consultants, ensuring adherence to standards and negotiating fees.
  • Coordinate contract activities with the design team and handle invoicing and collections.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively pursue new projects through client relationship building.

The required qualifications for the Project Manager are:

  • 8 years of experience in building design or construction.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in daily project management, such as chillers, boilers, air handling units, digital control systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, power distribution equipment, and lighting systems.
  • Previous project management experience in design or construction.
  • Familiarity with construction contract law and common contract documents like CCDC contracts, change orders, payment certificates, and certificates of substantial completion.
  • Experience in project pricing and managing additional service fees.
  • Excellent communication skills and a history of direct client interaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology, or similar.
