The POS and IT Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Remote Support: Providing remote support to off-site employees or satellite offices, troubleshooting their technical issues, and offering solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other IT team members, departments, and management to address IT-related challenges and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems related to computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • System Maintenance: Ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure by performing regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Network Management: Setting up and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), configuring routers and switches, and monitoring network performance.

The required qualifications for the POS and IT Specialist are:

  • The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of proven experience in front user support, with strong expertise in Office365 administration and working with end user clients. Additionally, you should be well-versed in handling Azure portal and servers, as well as various Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Preferred candidates will have knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization and experience with Veeam Backup and restore. Familiarity with HP Retail solution hardware (touch screens, printers, scanners, etc.) and HP/Dell desktops, laptops, and servers hardware is highly desirable. Furthermore, expertise in managing network printers is essential for this role.
  • Adaptable and willing to travel between malls to provide support to stores, especially during store openings. This role demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent end-user issues promptly. Network skills, including VLANs, routing, SSL tunneling, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall policy management, are crucial. Candidates with a background in Checkpoint firewalls will be given significant preference, and experience with supporting EDR/AV solutions is an advantage.
  • Ability to work hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure timely and responsive assistance to end users.
