PLC & Automation Electrician

Our client, a leading and growing manufacturing company located in Mississauga is looking to eagerly hire a full time PLC & Automation Technician.

• 6 am – 3 pm shift – Monday to Thursday
• 6 am – 12 pm shift every Friday
• Paid overtime

Your tasks as the PLC & Automation Technician:

• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting services
• Install, repair and maintain electrical, electronic equipment
• Instrumentation as well as computerized systems related to production machinery and systems
• Implement software changes
• Perform panel wiring, cell wiring and system wiring
• Install and debug DC and AC motor system including VFD and servomotors
• Able to debug systems following electrical drawings and when they are not available through trial and error
• Initiate and execute production maintenance projects
• Follow PM schedule as required
• Other duties as assigned or required.

The required qualifications of the PLC & Automation Technician:

• A 442 or 309 A license is required
• Experience with voltage up to 600v and 1000 amps
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues without schematics
• Minimum Class III safety implementations experience
• Minimum 3-5 years direct experience programming, designing and maintaining industrial control systems in a fast-paced process industry
• Strong knowledge of process control systems and automations specifically Allen Bradley/Rockwell and Wonderware programming
• Knowledge PLC Programming/Troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheet, database management software, SQL Server and Web server software
• Good oral and written communication in English
