As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing our payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees. Your primary responsibility will be to process and administer payroll for our workforce, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your payroll expertise and contribute to the smooth functioning of our HR operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and administer payroll for employees within specified timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and other payroll elements based on employee timecards, attendance records, and approved leave requests.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software, with experience using ADP Workforce Now considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and general HR processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
