Our client is a leader in the construction space seeking a strong candidate to hit the ground running.

-Prepare the payroll on a weekly basis for hourly union staff as well as biweekly basis for salaried employees for a number of companies

-Prepare EFT payments for net payroll amounts to employees

-Record journal entries to track payroll costs by company

-Reconcile, record and pay for Source deductions including EHT, WSIB, Union benefits and Group Benefits

-Administer all employee changes to the Group Benefit plan

-Track all time off taken by employees for vacation, sick days, bereavement as well as days spent working from home as per the company policies

-Prepare invoices to allocate salary and benefit costs to chargeback amongst related companies

-Prepare cheques for corporate tax installments and other payments for certain companies

-Monitor cash balances and transfer funds between companies as needed

-Review and approve bank reconciliations for several bank accounts

-Prepare and file HST returns for a number of companies and make payments as necessary

-Prepare a weekly cash report to track cash balances and cash flow changes

-Reconcile and prepare annual returns for T4, EHT and WSIB by company

-Assist in preparation of annual working papers for several companies to provide to external accountants

-Other duties as needed
