Role: Parts inventory coordinator

Work location: Richmond Hill, ON – Hybrid

We are currently looking for a Parts Inventory Coordinator in the Richmond Hill area!

Reporting to the Inventory Operations Manager, the Parts Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of activities related to supply planning in the areas of inventory forecasting, procurement/ordering and warehousing, while ensuring that company fill rates and inventory levels are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for master data creation (part creation) and master data maintenance (part updates and lead time maintenance)
  • Ensures that planning attributes are configured and maintained in the ERP system
  • Responsible for analysis and corrective action on dealer backorders and out-of-stock situations
  • Liaise between suppliers and MCI to resolve supply related issues
  • Review mismatch and cancellation reports (purchase order acknowledgement)
  • Responsible for purchase order management, including managing backlogged incoming purchase order lines, updating overdue purchase orders, reconciling advance shipping notice data, and cancelling expired purchase orders
  • Report excess and obsolete inventory levels to management on a monthly basis
  • Support inventory management team in the production of reports
  • Develop recommendations to improve inventory management and productivity

Qualifications:

  • Completed post-secondary degree or diploma
  • 3+ years’ professional experience in supply chain and planning
  • Knowledge of global supply chain operations is required
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles is required
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles is required.
  • APICS or similar accreditation or current enrolment in a recognized program is considered an asset
  • Strong ERP / MRP experience, preferably with Oracle
  • Proven ability to use analytical tools to solve problems
  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement and results orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate Excel skills, including use of formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).
