Industrial Pipes, Valves, Fittings & Welding – Eastern Ontario

Our Client is a global manufacturer of cutting tool & welding equipment supplying to oil and gas, power generation, construction, chemical manufacturers and municipal water utilities service-providers.

We are exclusively recruiting for an experienced Outside Sales Representative with a minimum of 7 years experience selling into their business verticals with the practical experience to manage their power generation sector in the eastern GTA..

Candidate Attributes:

Minimum 7 years of full-cycle sales and business development experience, selling industrial tools and equipment, preferably in a similar welding supply or valves/fittings capacity.

Outstanding relationship-building abilities with demonstrated experience working within large high-dollar value projects, multiple Decision-makers and all sizes of organizations, including the Ontario government power generation sites.

Mechanical and technical aptitude to physically ‘demo’ equipment to Engineers and senior level Project Managers, as well as small to mid-size manufacturers.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Ontario East from 404 to PQ border selling ‘branded’ product lines of cutting tools and valve maintenance equipment including marketing, sales, financial and administrative efforts

  • Strategic sales execution into new markets, new business developent and drive organic growth

  • Superior time-management and organizational skills, working from a home-office with regular daily travel to Customer sites and business centres for both Account Management support and new Business Development.
  • Provide activity reports, quotations and co-ordinate technical support resources.

Key Competencies & ‘Must Haves’:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma – preferably business or engineering

  • Proven sales track record – 7 to 10 years

  • Proficiency with ERP sized technology software platforms and MS Office applications
  • Ability to travel (70%) in Ontario and attend extensive training at North American HQ for 2 to 3 weeks

  • Superior, ‘chameleon-like’ sales and relationship-building skills for dealings with all levels of customers
