The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with both operations and development teams to meet our growing business requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. This talented individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and highly dynamic environment, with new software releases coming frequently as we grow our platform offering and add to our growing list of clients. The ability to establish priorities among multiple, competing demands and to meet deadlines is also essential to success in this position.


• Day-to-Day management and monitoring of the network infrastructure supporting SecureKey’s private and public cloud operations

• On-call rotation for critical incident support

• Implementation of network infrastructure in both private (VMWare) and public cloud (AWS)

• Vendor Management

• Deployment support and troubleshooting for partners (e.g. VPNs)

• Implementation/support of production changes in out-of-hours maintenance windows


• Passionate about your work and loves to automate things

• 3-5 years experience in network infrastructure administration maintaining switches, load balancers (F5 preferred), and firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)

• Experience delivering solutions into production environments and the importance of testing in lower environments

• Hands-on experience with server/network infrastructure delivering Internet-facing applications and solutions

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack

• Good working knowledge of WLAN, 2FA, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply these to troubleshooting issues

• Must be completely comfortable working in a shell environment

• Good foundation in Information Security best practices

• Strong desire to learn and work with new technologies and architectures

• Strong team player (who is fun to work with!)

• Well organized, self-starter who is able to work under pressure and manage deadlines

• Attention to detail

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience installing device in a mission-critical data center

• Knowledge and practice of ITIL processes

• Strong knowledge of configuration management technologies; Ansible playbook development experience desirable

• Scripting experience (e.g. python and bash)

• Strong knowledge of Linux (preferably Red Hat) system administration, including networking configuration and troubleshooting skills

• Strong knowledge of Docker

• Experience implementing and supporting web servers e.g. (Nginx, Apache)

• Experience implementing and supporting monitoring solutions (e.g. Sensu, Nagios, Zabbix,)

• Experience working with Public Cloud environments (AWS preferred)

• Experience with Hypervisor installation and maintenance (VMware vSphere preferred)

• Managing mission-critical systems in high availability configurations

• Experience with Linux system hardening

• Experience with auditing and reporting tools
