Job Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies and go-to-market plans to meet company objectives. This role is responsible for planning and overseeing in all marketing activities such as advertising, social media, PR, CRM, evaluating market conditions and implementing marketing plan changes as needed. The position involves collaborating with key stakeholders including retail partners, cross-functional team members, and US counterparts etc. This position will report to General Manager, Amorepacific Canada.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop annual marketing plan in conjunction with HQ and US, which details activities to follow during fiscal year, focusing on meeting short-term & long-term brand objectives
  • Analyze and interpret sales data by channel to guide, evaluate and recommend strategies
  • Manage and create Market Meeting decks and go-to market strategy for key retailer(s)
  • Control and monitor marketing budgets to ensure achievement of marketing objectives
  • Manage, forecast and track budget/expenses for all tactical and promotional programs
  • Monitor engine products, overall brand sales and effectiveness of marketing/promotion/digital/merchandising strategies
  • Lead and manage PR agency, social media, paid media and influencer strategies to promote new product launches and optimize annual plan
  • Lead execution of all national and channel specific campaigns
  • Lead competitive research to influence product development and market needs
  • Communicate closely with Headquarters (HQ) brand manager and international team to be informed of corporate direction and discuss product & marketing initiatives
  • Visual Merchandising Display: Manage agency to develop and create seasonal graphic and fixture updates for retailer(s)
  • Lead annual sampling strategy, forecast, budget and manage allocations with retailers
  • Manage and develop CRM activities
  • Lead, coach and manage team members
  • Product Development / Advertising & PR & Social Media:
  • Manage timeline of product development with HQ to ensure timely launch; set pricing/cost/order quantities
  • Product life cycle management based on sku sales data. Volume/units.
  • Seasonal forecast and budget for new product launches
  • Product road map: lead product development strategy in conjunction with US market, planning road map for next three (3) years
  • Work with creative team on marketing collateral (brochures, event posts, DMs, etc.)
  • Budgetary spending in all marketing activities and ensure target with projections
  • Manage PR agency to develop and evaluate go-to-market plans to meet media objectives

Qualification and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing in Beauty industry / skincare experience preferred
  • Strong fluency and working knowledge in digital marketing
  • Substantial experience with key beauty retailers (Sephora and others)
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet company objectives
  • Good knowledge of advertising and promotion
  • BA or higher degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or equivalent experience required
