What are some of the responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:

• Develop RFQ packages for all new jobs/client project and ensuring the correct methods for process, quality and customer specifications are met

• Prepare RFQ’s to submit to suppliers to determine best route of action based on pricing,

• Design work cells and equipment to implement new projects (floor layouts, equipment and material design etc.)

• Work and collaborate closely with other team member and maintenance team

• Ensure automation of equipment is working and production & maintenance staff is trained

• Project based worked assigned by leadership

The required qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineer:

• Post Secondary education in Mechanical Engineering is an asset

• 5+ years of working experience in a manufacturing engineering role

• Strong understanding of APQP process, PFMEA, PFD/PFC, Control Plan, ISO 14001 and lean manufacturing

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Strong MS Office and CAD program skills

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken)
