Job Description
The Maintenance Coordinator leads all activity related to maintenance within the plant and is responsible to liaise with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and supervise hourly maintenance team members including the weekend team and Mold Maintenance team
Track performance of all maintenance departments using FMDS
Manage, schedule, and execute the preventative maintenance program within the plant
Maintenance of equipment and building facilities
Ensure the sequential product lines are fully supported to maintain zero impact to the customer in a breakdown situation
Provides necessary data to support final decision-making as repairs are needed on whether to contract for repair or fix in-house
Leads scheduling contractors for repair, and creating quotes for service parts
Responsible for ensuring quality products are being produced from machine
Guide maintenance team in creating solid working relationships with production team members, as well as quality assurance team
Support any necessary training activity, making certain all training is up to date
Lead promotion/hiring/demotion/discipline activity amongst for maintenance team
Manage time and attendance for all direct reports
Involvement with special projects; assist with silo activity, real-time data acquisition, cycle-time reduction
Lead all A3 activity in determining purchase of new machines, robots, and other necessary equipment/materials
Job Qualifications
Education
Millwright certification and/or electrician certification or Engineering Degree considered relevant
Experience
Injection Molding/Manufacturing experience considered an asset
Leadership experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to manage time efficiently; repair machines in a timely fashion to minimize downtime
Must be technically inclined; able to troubleshoot machine errors, based on training and previous experience
Actively listening to coordinators and leadership teams about problems and issues that may arise
Prioritization skills; ability to adapt to changing demands from leadership teams
Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving
Solid interpersonal skills; able to communicate issues to process technicians and to senior leadership teams
High attention to detail and accuracy

▪ Communicating in second language is considered an asset
