Your tasks as the Manual Machinist:

• Set up and operator all machines around the facility (lathe and mill machines)

• Reading blueprints, engineering drawings to execute and deiced what machines are to be used on each production project

• Problem solve and calibrate machinery to ensure it is working properly

• Test procedures to ensure machine is working to specs

• Ensure housekeeping is kept up around workstation

• Maintenance of machinery

• Properly update activity logs

• Any other duties assigned by management

The required qualifications of the Manual Machinist:

• 3+ years of manual milling and lathe experience (Co-op experience is accepted) is a must

• Certified machinist apprenticeship or equivalent is an asset

• Previous experience working with inspection tools (Vernier calipers, dial indicators and height gages)

• High attention to detail

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineered drawings and blueprints

• Ability to machine to tight tolerances
