Your Role as a Millwright:
Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our machinery running smoothly and efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include:
·Conducting predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machinery, and performing repairs and rebuilds as needed
·Collaborating with the production team to ensure equipment is safe, efficient, and fully operational
·Providing direct training to co-workers as assigned
·Following all plant safety requirements, including PPE, safe electrical practices, and energy isolation procedures
·Contributing to our company-wide goal of maintaining a zero-injury environment
About You:
We’re excited to hear from you if you have the following qualifications:
·Provincial Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) – 433A
·Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
·Experience: 5-10 years in an industrial setting, preferably with a pulp and paper background
·Mechanical Skills: Proven experience with machine repairs and rebuilds
·Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safety rules, manufacturer recommendations, OSHA regulations, and general work safety practices
·Forklift License: Valid operator’s license required
·Physical Capability: Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
·Availability: Willing to work an 8-hour day shift, with flexibility for extended hours and participation in an on-call rotation (one week every 5 weeks)
·Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
