We are currently searching for an Accounts manager to be part of our clients’ team specializing in the electronics industry. The Accounts manager will report to the VP of Planning & Marketing.

Your tasks as an Accounts manager:

  • Provide daily support to VP Sales for any sales function
  • Set and monitor sales targets. Develop strategy to achieve set sales targets
  • Day-to-day interaction with Key Accounts via email and phone
  • Prepare product assortment proposals, follow-through with all things necessary to ensure that programs are put in place and maintained
  • Analyze open orders and follow up on any overdue orders
  • Create presentations for meetings with account buying teams
  • Review and negotiate vendor agreement contracts
  • Handle communications to, and budget for, the in-store merchandising team
  • Maintain, create and provide reports monthly to executive management
  • Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities
  • Interact with Planning, Marketing, and Customer Care Departments
  • Act as the liaison between accounts and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Collect and analyze sell-in and sell-through data and trends
  • Handle inquiries and process claims relating to Co-operative Advertising
  • Responsible for National Sales Meetings (held twice annually)

The required qualifications for the Accounts Manager position:

  • Proven experience with 5+ years’ experience in a sales/sales management role
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Strong computer skills are necessary
  • The ideal candidate for this position would possess advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word knowledge. Experience with web-based Portals and ability to quickly learn new environments an asset
  • This employee will interact with accounts in person. A polished professional appearance and attitude is required to succeed in this role
  • Excellent language skills, both written and spoken, for communication with accounts and internal teams
  • Flexibility in terms of hours of work, recognizing that there will be a need for overtime
  • The ability to analyze and manipulate data to retrieve relevant information and present to management in an organized and easy to interpret manner
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, to work on several projects simultaneously, to manage team members
  • Must be a quick learner, proactive, pay attention to detail, and enjoy a busy environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, their own vehicle, and the willingness/ability to travel
