We are currently looking for an HVAC Service Technician to join our client’s team. You will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers while you maintain, install and promote the company’s products and services for their homes.

Your tasks as a HVAC Service Technician:

  • Ability to promote, educate and effectively communicate the various HVAC options to clients
  • Carry out all maintenance, servicing and installation work in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Comply with all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Represent the company in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each call
  • You are a proud ambassador for our company
  • Maintain, repair and diagnose existing residential equipment
  • Perform general and specific inspections of equipment
  • Properly inform customers about appropriate care and maintenance
  • Explain the value of the company’s products, services and programs on each call
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations

The required qualifications for the HVAC Service Technician position:

  • Must meet the company’s requirements for general qualifications
  • Have completed at least Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Must have a Gas Technician II license
  • Received a certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an air conditioning mechanic (Ontario – 313d)
  • Must have a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Card (ODP)
  • Must have at least a Class G driver’s license
  • 3 – 5 years of field experience in the operation of water heaters and HVAC equipment would be an asset
  • Be willing and able to work shifts on a rotating basis and be prepared to perform standby duties as required
  • Be physically able to perform all the work required for this position, i.e., occasionally lift 15 kg to shoulder height, bend over frequently, squat or kneel occasionally, work indoors and outdoors in all weathers in environments that can be dusty or slippery
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and learn new technologies (i.e. electronics and electricity)
  • Very punctual and reliable
  • Must be prepared to wear the uniform provided by the company
  • Maintain the company vehicle to ensure it is clean and safe
