Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Lead the recruitment process for the resort, including job posting, interviewing, and candidate selection.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new employees.
- Employee Relations:
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and confidential manner.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to support employee growth.
- Manage performance evaluations and career development plans.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer and manage employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust the resort’s offerings accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and regulations.
- Compliance and Legal Matters:
- Stay informed about labor laws and regulations
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and documentation.
- Safety and Wellness Programs:
- Oversee safety and wellness initiatives to ensure the well-being of employees.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies.
- Handle worker’s compensation claims and promote wellness activities.
- HR Administration:
- Manage HR staff and departmental budget.
- Handle payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Maintain HR data, records, and reporting.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop HR strategies that align with the resort’s goals and objectives.
- Provide HR guidance and support in achieving these goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
- Proven experience in HR management
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR staff.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
