Human Resources Manager
Our client is a well established retail company, looking to set up their Human Resource team in GTA. Are you looking for a position where you can build and implement processes, expand the Human Resources team, and give your HR career a boost?!

Schedule: 3 days from office, 2 days at home or visiting stores
Responsibilities:
- Takes part of the hiring process and equally the firing process such as new hire orientation, interviews, exit interviews and terminations.
- Manage and ensure compliance with all HR related and company regulations
- Takes part in the new store openings/acquisition processes
- Responsible for Performance Management and Absence management
- Responsible for objective investigations, disciplinary actions, address concerns/issues, provide information, store management coaching/training, liaison with payroll on pay/benefit issues/resolutions
- Assist employees with succession planning
- Support employee analytics/reporting (turnover, staffing)
- Make sure proper training, communicative procedures are taken for Health & Safety
- Mitigate legal exposure by ensuring compliance to all applicable laws and regulations in all areas of human resource management.
- Carry out strategy and planning activities and develop strategies to meet immediate and long-term staff requirements
- Advise line managers in how to implement policies and procedures
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization
- Negotiate with staff on issues relating to pay and conditions, contracts and redundancy
Skills and Experience:
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- At least 4 years of experience as of Human Resource generalist experience along with schooling.
- Prior experience in a global, retail /or diverse multi-unit workforce (hourly, salaried)
- Strong knowledge of English (oral and written communication)
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Knowledge and experience working with HR systems and databases and
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Maintains and builds strong relationships with all divisions of the team
- Ability and agility to work in a global, multicultural, fast- paced ‘start -up’ environment
- Must be proactive and be positive with high energy
- Strong proven knowledge of excellent service/support to internal and external business partners
