Job Description

Our client is a leader in the Manufacturing space looking for a HR Business Partner to hit the ground running.

There will be many different people to meet and work with, meaning the ideal candidate should be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others. Given the ever-changing environment, work must be done on time and accurately. This is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed, while respectfully challenging the status quo to move the organization forward.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding/offboarding process, ensuring consistency and compliance with provincial, legal and company standards
  • Coordinate, create content and track employee, supervisor, and leadership development courses
  • Create corporate announcements and update company intranet site
  • Coordinate employee engagement survey program
  • Champion the use of HR technology by employees and managers
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers
  • Conduct employee information and training sessions
  • Meet established quarterly targets and present results by way of PowerPoint presentation
  • HR counseling in areas of performance management, workplace issue resolution or organizational change in consultation with the Manager of Human Resources
  • Active participation in operational meetings (as required) providing input relevant to the HR function
  • Various HR projects and initiatives in alignment with company goals

Requirements

  • CPHR designation
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive HR experience in a generalist role with varied responsibilities across many functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary degree
  • Technologically inclined
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills coupled with a results-driven orientation
  • Demonstrated experience managing priorities with flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in communicating at all levels of the organization
  • Proven desire to work effectively and build trust with employees, operations and within the HR team
  • Excellent business writing and grammar skills with the ability to create documents based on limited information
  • Organized self-starter who sets priorities and drives deliverables for a wide variety of tasks with a high level of accountability
