Parts Specialist Etobicoke
Full Time Permanent Opportunity!
The Parts Specialist will be responsible for interacting with customers to identify, source
and supply replacement parts for Lift truck or construction equipment.
-Work as part of the team including producing stock orders, quoting, packing, shipping and organizing supplier returns.
-Facilitating customer orders including –procuring, ordering, back orders, warranty, returns processing, picking and delivery of parts to customers.
-Customer contact, order processing and selling parts.
-Ensure customer’s needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner.
-Shipping and receiving of parts, forklift use and stocking shelves.
-Daily housekeeping of warehouse and parts area.
-Carry out strong inventory controls, cycle audits and follow standard inventory procedures.
-Work with vendors and customer set up.
-Provide on call service after hours as required.
-Multi-task multiple jobs within the work day.
-Support Service Department Technicians.
-Responsible for all aspects of the Parts Department as required.
-Research, assign, and pull designated parts for work orders.
-Order parts as needed for specific jobs-ensuring to assign priorities when needed.
-Process all returned parts as needed.
-Answer incoming requests via phone, email or fax.
-Assist customers with part identification and utilization.
-Other duties as assigned.
-High School diploma or GED Equivalent; 3-5 years experience in a related industry.
-Must have previous experience in the lift truck or construction equipment industries.
-Knowledge and understanding of parts and service.
-WHMIS and forklift certification.
-Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow.
-Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products and other data systems. –Ability to mee deadlines.
-Physical and Environmental Elements:This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
-Accurate hand/eye coordination is required.
-Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
-Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time.
Preferred Journeymen ticket and experience in the Heavy Duty Equipment Industry.
Pay rate $19-$25 per hr depending on experience
Shift: Monday to Friday 7am-4pm
